Chem-Bio Defense and Sensor Networks
SENTEL has been an essential part of the development of integrated chemical and biological agent detection systems as part of the Department of Defense’s (DoD’s) Advanced Concept Technology Demonstration (ACTD) and system production teams. Working with the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), and the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense (JPEO-CBD), SENTEL has performed hardware and software design, development, and integration for the nation’s leading chemical/biological agent detection system.
Attacks employing chemical and biological agents have moved from being a potential threat to a reality. The ability to detect these agents in the environment in which they occur and to then minimize their effects is critical to the safety of the U.S. military and civilian populations. SENTEL engineers and technicians have supported the DoD in developing solutions to chemical/biological threats for over 15 years. SENTEL’s capabilities include networking and systems integration for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) sensors; software and central command post development; hardware assembly; and sensor fusion.
