Intersite Analysis
SENTEL performs intersite electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) analyses for various government and corporate sponsors. In an intersite EMC analysis, communications-electronic (C-E) systems operating in the same environment as a proposed new system are identified. Because of proximity in distance or frequency of the introduced system and the environmental C-E systems, there is a potential for electromagnetic interference (EMI).
SENTEL uses various models when conducting an intersite analysis. Terrain-dependent propagation models are used to predict the signal propagation loss. Antenna models are used to predict the antenna coupling between the introduced system and other systems in the surrounding environment. System performance models are used to determine what impact the systems will have on each other and to identify methods to avoid or eliminate any predicted EMI.
