The SENTEL Corporation President William E. “Kip” Ward was the featured guest speaker at the Wreath Laying Ceremony on Saturday, June 24, 2017, commemorating the 79th Anniversary of Joe Louis vs. Max Schmeling Heavyweight championship bout symbolic of the struggle between competing ideologies – American Democracy vs. Hitler’s Nazism. As President Franklin D. Roosevelt told Mr. Louis before the historic fight in 1938, “You represent the might of America against dictatorship and oppression.”

Heavyweight Champion Joe Louis served four (4) years in the US Army during World War II as a Sergeant and donated over $100,000 to Soldier programs. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery near the Tomb of the Unknowns.
