SENTEL to Lead NVSED C-IED Program Initiatives
Alexandria, VA, October 6, 2009 – SENTEL Corporation was recently selected by the Night Vision & Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVSED) to support the U.S. Army’s Counter Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) Programs. These efforts are to include support for advanced technology programs for improvised explosive device detection that encompasses integration and evaluation of infrared sensors, electro-optics, laser physics, hyper-spectral analysis, target recognition, ground penetrating and forward looking radar, chemical, nuclear, acoustic sensor technologies and avionic systems.
After receiving notification of the award, SENTEL President and CEO, Darrell Crapps expressed his excitement about working with NVSED in support of such an important mission, “SENTEL is excited to expand its relationship with NVSED and pleased to lead efforts that are so critically important to the safety of our service-people and citizens.”
