Proposal Manager/Technical Writer

Description: |
Responsible for leading the proposal teams headed by Capture Manager(s). Manage proposal development, review and production cycles. Substantially contribute to proposal content as a technical writer. Track and report on overall business development activity.
- Provide the entire suite of proposal skills (RFP analysis, proposal scheduling, Win Plan support, technical writing, graphics development, organization, Prime/subcontractor interface, editing and production). - Work with engineers, analysts, and other subject matter experts through interviews or extrapolation of existing material to write, edit, and produce proposal content. - Perform copy editing and proofreading of all proposal content to rapidly produce clear and accurate documents. Responsible for editorial integrity of all proposals. - Develop, update and maintain proposal information data resources to include but not limited to resumes, past performance, contracts data, technical and management plans. - Provide innovative ways to support the technical staff during the proposal effort as they continue to support their clients. - Organize and facilitate proposal reviews and debriefings (Pink-Red-Gold Teams). - Develop and update company marketing materials. - Collect and consolidate business development inputs from field activities. - Provide business development support to managers to help identify potential business opportunities. - Perform other duties as assigned and must be able to work extended hours as needed to meet proposal deadlines. |
Education: |
B.S. Degree in related field |
Experience/Skills |
Minimum of two (2) years hands-on experience leading proposal teams responding to Federal and Defense procurements. Solid experience with the MS Office Professional Suite is required. Excellent writing and grammar skills are required. Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Knowledge of Government contracting practices and pricing methodologies preferred. |
