IT Project Manager

Description:

SENTEL offers a relaxed small company feel with diverse work assignments and some travel. Provide IT project management in a rapidly growing and diverse USAF unit supporting special enclave networks and electronic warfare networks/missions. Must be able to interface with technical/engineering customers, gather and understand requirements, write statement of work (SOW)/statement of objectives (SOOs), coordinate with local organizations on accomplishment of projects as well as MAJCOM/Air Staff personnel on project objectives, provide weekly status reports and briefings as required. Must be able to work with highly technical personnel and provide input on problem resolution/program impact. Provide program management/technical support and advice for classified network operations. Knowledge of TCP/IP, networking, troubleshooting, and AF IT security desired. Must be knowledgeable of the Government organizational hierarchy. Experience managing diverse groups across all computer support disciplines is desired. Knowledgeable of Air Force computer, personnel security, and facility directives (specifically JAFAN and DCID documents). Ability to perform strategic planning and analysis for long-range computer network architectures and other duties as assigned.

Education:

Program Manager courses (or equivalent experience) required. Formal training covering DCID/JAFAN security principals desired. Electronic Warfare mission data development familiarity desired. Degree in Information Technology or Program Management desired.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in special enclave program management. Knowledge of accepted program management practices, the Air Force budget process, and JAFAN/DCID security requirements is essential. A practical working knowledge of computer operating systems (Windows 2000/2003, Windows 2000/XP) and computer network principles such as DNS, WINS, Active Directory and computer applications such as Exchange, and Microsoft Office Suite products is essential. Activities will be directed, monitored, outlined and supervised by a more senior program manager or Task Lead. Perform other program manager/analyst tasks as assigned.

 

Current TOP SECRET Security Clearance is mandatory and must be SCI eligible.
