Description:

SENTEL offers a relaxed small company feel with diverse work assignments and some travel.  Financial Analyst, compiles and analyzes financial data, gathers and develops obligation and expenditure analyses, projections, reports, presentations, and general program financial analyst support to the Army Comparative Testing Office (CTO). Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately.  Identifies trends and developments in project obligation and expenditures and presents findings to senior management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within DoD Financial Management Regulations.  Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. 
This task provides financial and systems analysis, acquisition, test and program management support of high-end information, weapons, and support systems for the Army CTO located at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Aberdeen Maryland. The Army CTO oversees Foreign Comparative Testing (FCT) and Defense Acquisition Challenge (DAC) Projects.  FCT and DAC projects provide rapid fielding of military equipment/components to the war fighter.  The Financial Manager will interface on a daily basis with Army program managers, service personnel and resource managers, and as required with foreign and domestic vendors. Specific duties include creating and staffing and tracking of funding execution documents such as MIPRs or suballocations, preparation of submissions of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the Comparative Testing Office to be used in reports to the DoD Comptroller and Congress including the President’s Budget Request and Budget Estimate Submissions, resolution of contract billing errors, reviewing contract documentation; preparing periodic status reports; representing the Army CTO at meetings as directed; and providing general assistance to Army FCT and DAC Project Managers. The job will require occasional overnight travel within the Continental United States.

Education:

Bachelor's degree and 2-4 years of experience in financial management.
