SENTEL has an immediate opening for a Subject matter Expert for Air Traffic Control to support the FAA’s Office of Safety Support and Independent Assessments (SSIA).
Candidates with experience in the En Route environment will be given preference. |
Basic Qualifications: |
Experience which demonstrates an extensive professional knowledge of Airway Facilities, Airport Operations, Air/Ground Traffic Control, or related Automated Command and Control field. Professional knowledge is defined as the comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of a particular field or endeavor recognized by the FAA NAS community.
Shall have 10 years of demonstrated experience in providing comprehensive assessment of NAS systems’ abilities to meet FAA mission needs. Experience shall include evaluation of alternatives and an assessment of risk associated with NAS system operational acceptability.
The perfect candidate will have the ability to directly support senior-level government customers through articulate, formal presentations and well-written documents containing engineering-based advice, air traffic systems experience, testing comprehension, and, most importantly, enthusiasm. The candidate will be expected to coordinate evaluation input from air traffic personnel at facilities that have recently deployed new systems. In addition, the successful candidate will assist in developing and managing NAS-wide air traffic safety initiatives.
Salary will be commensurate with candidate’s proven problem solving capabilities in areas directly related to the FAA’s Independent Operational Test & Evaluation concept. |
